GHOSTKEYS FOR ANDROID, IPHONE & IPAD

GhostKeys privacy policy

Effective 23 October 2026. This policy covers the native GhostKeys Android, iPhone and iPad apps, published by EgoB (Roeland Verhaeren), and this support website.

Data in the app

GhostKeys does not collect data for the developer, track you, display advertising, or include third-party analytics SDKs. You do not create a GhostKeys account.

Bluetooth MIDI

When you start a Bluetooth session, GhostKeys asks Android for Nearby devices access or iOS/iPadOS for Bluetooth access to advertise as a MIDI controller and send notes, channels, velocity, sustain and cleanup messages to your chosen host. The operating system manages Bluetooth discovery and connections. Your MIDI performance goes directly to your connected host, such as your Mac; it is not uploaded to EgoB or an analytics service. GhostKeys does not record microphone audio or access contacts, photos, camera or location.

Local settings and diagnostics

Pad banks, mappings, labels, colors, channels, velocity, piano range and saved controller setups are stored locally on your device. They are not sent to EgoB. Android app backup is disabled. On Apple devices, backups and restoration are controlled by your Apple settings. Removing app data or deleting the app removes its local settings.

Android connection diagnostics stay in memory and can be copied to the clipboard by tapping INFO, then Copy. The report includes device model, app and Android versions, connection events and MIDI counters. GhostKeys does not upload the report automatically. If you send it to support, we receive only what you choose to send.

Store services

Google handles Google Play distribution, and Apple handles App Store distribution. These services may process downloads, crashes and diagnostics under their own policies and your device choices. GhostKeys includes no separate developer analytics service.

Support and this website

If you email support, EgoB receives the information you choose to include, such as your email address, device details and description of the problem, to respond to your request. Do not include passwords or private signing keys. Support correspondence may be retained to handle the request and meet applicable obligations.

The web server may log standard technical request information, such as IP address, requested page, time and browser information, for operating and protecting the website. These GhostKeys support and privacy pages contain no advertising, analytics scripts or tracking cookies. Other EgoB pages or external services may have their own features and policies.

Optional Android website download

If you request the separate Android APK through the EgoB website, we use the email address you supply to send a verification/download link and record the verified request. Product-update emails require a separate optional opt-in. This website download flow is separate from the app and is not required for Google Play installation. Other EgoB pages may record aggregate page visits and downloads without a personal visitor profile.

Your choices

You can stop the Bluetooth session in the app, revoke Nearby devices or Bluetooth permission in your device settings, remove local settings by deleting the app, or contact EgoB about support information you have provided. Where applicable, you may request access, correction or deletion of that information.

Contact and changes

For privacy questions, write to info@egob.be. Changes to app behavior will be reflected in an updated policy on this page.
